First, and this is apart of the Rafflesdials review, I find myself quite seduced by this Rolex model. I honestly always thought the OP was dull, and never had particular interest in it. Once on the wrist I understand it is a perfectly balanced, well designed and very elegant watch. RAFFLESdials states: you need date and day disc overlays, however i can save you the cuppa bucks.. The DG2813 DayDate from ebay and raffles dials work perfectly together. The Movement spacer ring had to be grinded down with sandpaper just a very little.. I ordered a kit lady Rolex using 2671. This included a metal ring shim washer and a date wheel overlay. The other kit (new model sub) he did not include that date wheel overlay.
The case and dial was from rafflesdials, the movement and hands from aliexpress. You can also get cases on AE too. The movement is an eta2824 clone, PT5000. #1. On my last order I thought I would try out one of his new tropical brown dials. was not disappointed. (stay tuned for the sub build ) New raffles case with acrylic (apparently they are glued it - caution advised) enlarged lugs. soften case with some ageing. Rafflesdials is OK, Rafflestime is better quality and used to have more choice, but I think his son has now taken over the business and doesn't want the risks associated with fake Rolex parts. You need a DWO, which are called 'overlays' on RD's. Recent experience with RafflesDials. Review. I have purchased multiple replacement Rolex bracelets in the past with Raffles and had no issues. So I recently wanted to do a dial and hands swap on my BP Datejust 116234 with the 2836 movement. I purchased dial and hands and was assured they would fit the 2836 movement.
